This year's theme is Songs of Advent and Pastor Sandy will preach on the voices of Isaiah, Zechariah, Mary, and the Angels throughout the holy season.

Participate in an Evensong service of Advent themed music, poetry and prayer to slow down and focus on this season of hope, anticipating the light we know is coming with Christmas. The service will center around the Advent Antiphons by Reverend Dr. Malcolm Guite and music by artists such as The Brilliance and Josh Garrels and Seattle-based musicians, led by musicians from Edmonds UMC, Maple Park Church, and Grace Church Seattle. A freewill offering will be taken to help support our music ministries and desire to continue offering events such as this.

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year…” or so they say. But what if you aren’t feeling that way? Maybe you are feeling stressed, lonely, or depressed. Are you suffering from grief after the loss of a loved one recently or long ago? Perhaps financial losses or loss of a job have you discouraged. Are you distressed over world events? Are the dark days of December adding to your sadness? You are not alone. The Service of Light on the Longest Night is an opportunity to spend a few quiet moments in worship and reflection within the circle of God’s love. Come and allow the prayers, music, and candle glow to shine light into your darkness. A Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols

A Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols

December 24th – 7:00pm & 9:00pm - Sanctuary
Led by our Chancel Choir, organ and strings, we will hear the story of the birth of Jesus as told in Bible readings and the singing of beloved Christmas carols and hymns. The choir will present anthems by John Rutter, Hector Berlioz, Phillip Stopford, and others. The service will culminate with our beautiful tradition of singing Silent Night, illuminated by candlelight throughout the sanctuary.
