Important Upcoming Events

FAIR TRADE COFFEE, TEA AND CHOCOLATE SALES – FEBRUARY 12
We will be back selling coffee, tea, and CHOCOLATE just in time for Valentine’s Day. If you would like to treat yourself or someone else, we will be there to provide some special items to support your needs and support small farmers in faraway lands who need to receive fair market prices for their products. All items are organic and they are special. Come try something new. We will have decaf this time, so come and see us. Thanks for supporting Missions.

INTERGENERATIONAL SHROVE TUESDAY CELEBRATION, FEBRUARY 21
There will be a delicious, traditional Pancake Supper, once again sponsored by our fabulous Chapel Bells, served from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Then you’ll want to participate (all ages!) in our traditional EUMC Pancake Relay and “Farewell to Alleluias.” (Alleluias are traditionally not said or sung during Lent, returning in all their glory on Easter Day). Suggested pancake supper donation: $5.00 per person; $15.00 family. Reserve your pancakes by signing up at the Shrove Tuesday Table during coffee hour on Sunday, February 5, 12, and 19. Questions? Contact June Jackson, Director of Adult Spiritual Formation at the church office 425.778.2119.

THE ROAD TO HOPE DESSERT FUNDRAISER
Save the date for The Road to HOPE dessert fundraiser benefiting Puget Sound Christian Clinic and the Mobile Sites on February 23. For more information or to R.S.V.P., please contact Darryl Berg at z1greatguy@hotmail.com.

ANOTHER YEAR IN THE ART HALL
How better to begin than with the glitter and glamour of costumes and dresses from the collection of Jeanette Murphy. Each piece has been designed, created, sewn and worn by Jeanette while dancing. Her collection is extensive and exquisite! This is going to be great! Note: We have lined up several folks from our own congregation to show in the Art Hall this year. Please let an Art Hall Lady know if you too would like to participate. Susan sl.mcm@comcast.net or Dana dlmcm@comcast.net.

9:00 COFFEE HOUR HELP NEEDED
There is an opportunity for a few people to enter the rotation for helping with the 9:00 coffee hour. We need your help the 4th Sundays of the month and whenever there is a 5th Sunday. If you can help, please call the church office (425.778.2119).

THRIFT SHOP NEEDS HELP
Because of winter vacations and illness, UMW is in need of more volunteers for the Thrift Shop. The shop is open 9:00 until 1:00 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Volunteers sort donations and act as clerks at the shop, helping customers and accepting payment for purchases. This is a fun job, with at least two people on duty at all times. Please call Elaine Stewart, 425.412.3237 to volunteer. You will work with an experienced volunteer and you're going to love it! We hope you'll visit the Thrift Shop soon and see what great stuff we have for sale!

FOOD BANK OUTREACH SPONSORED BY THE RENOVARE CHRISTCARE GROUP
Starting in February we will hand out grocery bags on the first Sunday of each month. Mission Scouts will attach lists of specially needed groceries to the bags, the children will be distributing the bags, and the youth will help collect the groceries you bring to the church. It is something we can all do to help feed the hungry. This outreach is brought to you by the Renovare Christcare Group.
