What is a Sound Bath?

A Sound “Bath” is a full immersion experience in healing sound and vibration, much like the Japanese tradition of “forest bathing” which is an immersion into the healing powers of nature.

Our Sound Bath will be presented by the gifted Dawn Torres, RYT, Reiki Master, Sound & Energy Healer, Meditation and Yoga Teacher. Dawn will lay out her beautiful sets of crystals bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, and deep gongs in the Wesley Room. Participants will fan out across the floor on yoga mats and blankets to receive the full effect. For about an hour Dawn will lead us through a sound journey designed to flood our bodies with sounds that stimulate, relax, and heal our human bodies. It’s a special sort of “tune-up”. Most cultures through time have used sound to connect with the Divine in a deep and powerful way, in the same way, a Sound Bath can also connect us deeply with the divine.

“Sound Healing is a wonderful, feel good way to release stress and tension, to allow all of the cells in the body to harmonize and to soften and enter into deeper states of restorative relaxation as vibrations swirl around and inside of the body.
