Hanging of the Greens

Everyone’s favorite pre-Advent event. We deck the halls with boughs of holly, and greens, lights, trees, wreaths and so much more. Christmas cheer spreads across the sanctuary, the narthex, the Wesley room and the front doors of the church. Fun and fellowship for all.
Holiday Bazaar

Come to the annual Holiday Bazaar with special gift items, Christmas items, yummy homemade baked goodies and a "don't miss" silent auction on Saturday. You’ll find many treasures to take home for the holidays.

Edmonds Toy Shop is, a project of the Edmonds Food Bank and hosted at Edmonds United Methodist Church. Through the years the program has evolved to meet the needs of over 1000 children in the Edmonds area, and has needs over 200+ volunteers each year for the annual in-person gifting event. New unwrapped toys can be left in a bin in the narthex.
“Christmas Variety Show”

Now in its third iteration, thanks to pneumonia and now COVID, our Christmas Concert is now a Variety Show, featuring a wonderful collection of local singers sharing beautiful Christmas music, in this benefit concert for the EUMC Music Program. Performers include Danielle Reutter-Harrah, soprano, David Hendrix and the Edmonds Music Collective, Cherie Migas, singer/songwriter, Jason Kaylor, handbells, Carl-Eric Tangen, singer/songwriter and the EUMC Chamber Choir. Admission is no charge, and donations will be collected for the Music Program.
Carol Sing and Christmas Party

A new tradition at EUMC. We’ll come together as a church family to sing beloved Christmas Carols and eat Christmas goodies and drink hot apple cider—for a good old fashioned church Christmas party. All ages welcome!

For those experiencing loneliness and grief because of a loss of someone dear, loss of family or friend connections, loss of job, health, mobility, or a profound change or loss of something else in their life can be difficult. We remember persons and/or events that have been a part of our lives in the past, but are now changed or gone, and thus, the holiday season brings challenges, sadness, and perhaps anger.

A beloved season tradition complete with camels, sheep, angels, a shining star, wise ones, a young mother, a father, and a baby, born on a cold wintry night long, long ago. God comes to earth in the form of a baby to bring love and light into the world.

The waiting of Advent is over, and now we arrive at the holiest of holy nights. The star is shining brightly in the east over a tiny stable in Bethlehem where Mary and Joseph settle into a stable where their baby is born. Join us for a scriptural and musical journey to Bethlehem where we light our candles in the dark of night to welcome the coming of the Christ Child, the son of God , the bringer of peace and holiness to waiting world.
